Breaking The Ice

A few weeks ago I went surfing for the first time in 2 years. I can’t believe it has been so long considering it’s something I love to do…….not to mention for the last 3 months I have been living in Sagres, Portugal one of the best surf spots in Europe.

I also can’t believe that I’ve had near radio silence for the last 6 months. It has been a time of complete transition and there were definitely some rough spots. I had been living in Hamburg, Germany through March for one year. For various reasons the last few months I was there got a bit difficult. Bottom line is in the midst of whatever BS was going on I noticed something. I wasn’t happy anymore and I needed to make a change for me and for the health of my relationship. So we took a leap of faith and moved to southern Portugal……and it has been nothing short of incredible.

That brings me back to the surfing story. That 1st day I went out wasn’t ideal – the waves weren’t that good & there were only a few hours of sunlight left. But I said screw it and just got myself in the water. It was quite funny actually. I put my wetsuit on backwards, didn’t catch a single wave and felt so out of surfing shape I hobbled back to shore. But I was totally happy because I had broken the ice. Traction was gained, momentum had started and the path of surfing was ripe to open up in my life again. So fast forward to 3 days later: great waves, great rides and it was a whole lot easier..

So now I want to break the ice with all of you. I want to use this opportunity to reconnect and let you know how grateful I am for being in my life. I have been up to so much musically that I believe has a lot of substance and can really add to your lives that I am eager to share all of it with you right now! But before I get ahead of myself let’s start here:
